AUTHORIZATION AND RECOGNITION

 The curriculum for the Athens Institute for Massage offers a 600 hour program leading to student qualification to take the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers exam. We meet the standards of the Georgia State Department of Education’s Nonpublic Post-Secondary Education Commission (NPEC) and are authorized by that agency. We are recognized by the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals who have reviewed and recommended our program as meeting and exceeding the standards for a. massage-therapy training program. The Athens Institute for Massage is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association Council of Schools.  We are recognized by the Georgia Board for Massage Therapy.
 
School Facilities
 
The Athens Institute for Massage is located at 485 Huntington Road, Suite 205, Athens Georgia 30606, in the Double Tree Place Office Park, behind the Georgia Square Mall. Students have access to instruction and library resources at this 1800 square foot brick office suite.  There is also a full kitchen used for a student lounge. Break rooms, reception areas and study areas are available at this location. Parking is convenient at this location. The office park is conveniently located off Atlanta Highway near the I-10 Loop.
